What is PMEGP?

The PMEGP (Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme) is a Government of India scheme that provides financial assistance (subsidy) to individuals for starting new small businesses or manufacturing units.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: Minimum 18 years

  • Education: Minimum 8th pass (for manufacturing units above ₹10 lakh or service units above ₹5 lakh)

  • Eligible Applicants:

    • Individuals

    • Self Help Groups (SHGs)

    • Institutions registered under Societies Registration Act

    • Production Co-operative Societies

    • Charitable Trusts

  • Existing businesses are not eligible.
